Our Story

Made to be passed down.

Genesis Garments. Simple pieces with meaning, made for every generation that wears them.

It started at home.

Gedara and Pita came first. Then Thathi’s Quarter Zip. Then Thun Kale Kalisama. Simple to the naked eye, each one carries a story worth handing down.

Chapter One

Someone had to step up.

Adrian felt a gap in the quality and meaning coming from local brands. Customers deserved better, and he believed it was on him to give it to them.

Genesis is his answer: considered pieces, made with care, lore and built to last, with our community always first.

Chapter Two

Home and away.

Gedara and Pita mean home and away in Sinhala. Our first pieces were a home and away jersey, drawn from the culture and sport that shaped Adrian’s life.

They have since been retired, but everything Genesis makes still begins in the same place: home.

Chapter Three

From Thathi, to Adrian, to you.

Thathi is Adrian’s father. His quarter zip was worn for years, until Adrian took it, refined it and turned it into something beautiful.

What one generation wore, the next made its own. That is the thread running through everything we make.

Chapter Four

Rooted in Sri Lanka.

Thun Kale Kalisama is Sinhala for three quarter shorts. It comes from Adrian’s love of jorts, worn since he was young, and its design draws on the flora of his Sri Lankan heritage.

Every name we use means something. Every piece carries a little of where we come from.

Every piece tells a story.

Gedara and Pita

Home and away. Where Genesis began.

Thathi’s Quarter Zip

A father’s (Thathi's) Quarter Zip, taken and reimagined.

Thun Kale Kalisama

3/4 shorts shaped by childhood and Sri Lankan flora.

Community first. Always.

Genesis is built with the people who wear it. We make what our community deserves, and we will never settle for less.
